How do I properly care for my Pearl Time Jewelry?

We recommend our customers remove their jewelry before going to sleep or participating in vigorous activities. To clean your jewelry we recommend you use a silver cloth to gently wipe your pearl jewelry. The silver cloth will restore the brightness of your jewelry right before your eyes. We also recommend our customers refrain from submerging their jewelry in water for long periods of time.

What are cultured pearls?

Cultured pearls are creations formed by inserting a tissue graft from a donor oyster, upon which a pearl sac forms, and the inner side precipitates calcium carbonate, in the form of nacre or "mother-of-pearl".

How can I check the status of my order?

A tracking number will be emailed to you once it has left our headquarters for final shipment. Items should arrive between 2 to 4 business days once you've received the shipment confirmation email.

How do I change my pearl out of my pearl cage?

Simply remove your chain from the pendant and you can gently pull on each side of the cage. Once open you can switch pearl colors or simply remove the pearl. You can also take this time to shine your pearls and clean the pearl cage as well.

Where do Pearl Time pearls come from?

It's Pearl Time has multiple contractual agreements with multiple oyster farms throughout the World.

Are some of the pearls color treated?

Pearls are naturally porous, and this allows oyster farmers to sometimes use an infiltration process to add and create a broader range of colors outside the normal white, pink, and lavender colors. This process is used to create darker and more unique colors, but because of the cost of the process, it is not used very often which makes those unique colors more rare than lighter, untreated colors. They are still considered cultured pearls by the Gemological Institute of America, and their values are measured within the same standards as the natural color pearls.
